Stretch marks, in the medical community is known as striae, they are scars caused by tears in the collagen and elastin fibers of the dermis layer of the skin, says a cosmetic dermatologist in NYC.
They are often caused by a variety of factors which could be puberty in teenagers, rapid weight fluctuations, pregnancy, bodybuilding, and/or genetics.
These marks initially appear as red or purple lines on the breasts, arms, hips, thighs, buttocks and abdomen.
With time, these stretch marks fade and leave a white scar-like appearance.
Which is why we’ll be looking at how to remove these scars
1/4 C cocoa butter
1 Tablespoon wheat germ oil
1 teaspooon light sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon apricot kernel oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
2 teaspoons grated beeswax
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Mix together all ingredients except the vanilla extract.
Heat the mixture gently until the cocoa butter and beeswax have melted; stir well.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, if desired. Allow to cool completely.
Store in a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Massage into your skin.
